Veteran Actres, Joke Silva loses mum

Dr Marienne Abimbola Silva, the mother of veteran actress Joke Silva has died. She died peacefully yesterday morning July 19th. She was 89 years old.

Dr Silva was the third female doctor inNIGERIA but the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree. She became an OON (Officer of the Order of theNIGER) in 1979.


She's survived by her children and grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace...Amen.
